Privacy: your work stays with you.
Greyboard has no accounts and no sign-up. The site sets no cookies and runs no trackers; visits are counted without cookies. The studio keeps your works only in your own browser, on your device, and uploads nothing to us; photos and exports are made on your device and saved where you choose. This policy is dated 3 November 2026.
Who we are
Greyboard is a small personal project, now in a free beta. A contact address will be published here before the public launch.
No accounts, no cookies, no trackers
You don’t sign up or tell us who you are to use the studio. The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising pixels or other trackers.
To know how many people read which page, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics: it counts page views and load times, sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser and does not follow you from site to site.
Your works stay in your browser
The studio keeps your works (drawings, what lies on the table, the model and its history, photos and the thumbnails on the shelf) in your browser’s own storage on your device (IndexedDB), and small settings in local storage. Autosave is on by default; you can switch it off in Settings → Work.
We never receive or see any of it, which also means we cannot restore it. If you clear the site’s data in your browser, your works go with it, so export what matters.
Pictures you lay on the table
A file, a camera photo or a scan that you lay on the table as a sheet is processed on your device and kept there. The camera opens only when you choose “photograph” or “scan”.
Photos and exports
Photos from the studio and cutting files (DXF, SVG, PDF) are made on your device and saved wherever you choose. They are not sent to us.
The radio on the table
“Your own music” loads nothing. The Spotify or YouTube player loads only when you paste a link and press play; from then on, that service’s own privacy policy applies, and it may set its own cookies.
Server logs
The hosting provider that serves the site keeps standard server logs (IP address, time and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use them to follow you or to build profiles.
What is stored, where, for how long
| What | Where | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Your works: drawings, the table, the model and its history | IndexedDB in your browser, on your device | Until you delete them or clear the site’s data |
| Photos, prints and shelf thumbnails | IndexedDB in your browser, on your device | Until you delete them or clear the site’s data |
| Pictures laid on the table | IndexedDB in your browser, on your device | Until you remove them or clear the site’s data |
| Studio settings and sound levels | Local storage in your browser | Until you clear the site’s data |
| The language of this site | Local storage, key greyboard.lang | Until you clear the site’s data |
| Exported files and saved photos | Wherever you save them | As long as you keep them |
| Server logs: IP address, time, page | The hosting provider | A limited time, for security |
| Page views and load times, counted without cookies | Cloudflare Web Analytics, in aggregate | As Cloudflare keeps aggregate statistics |
Everything except the server logs and the visit count stays on your device.
Your choices
To stop saving, switch autosave off in Settings → Work. To remove everything the studio has kept, clear the site’s data in your browser’s settings. We hold none of your works, so there is nothing for us to hand over or delete.
